I had commented earlier on a problem I had in Firefox with helper applications. The page for displaying helper applications was blank in Firefox 3.5.7, which is still the latest in OS/2. It was fixed with a new version of XUL.dll, which is available on the Netlabs ftp site, along with Firefox 3.5.7. Well, now there is the same fix for SeaMonkey 2.01. This time it's for DocTypes.dll, which normally lives in the components directory under SeaMonkey. This is also working here. I hope to see some or all of you at the next meeting in Milpitas, on Tuesday, Feb 23. best regards, Neil -- Neil Waldhauer, neil at blondeguy.com Laughter is the sun that drives winter from the human face. There is a light rail station near the meeting location. I'm going to show CPU throttling and other tricks with the ACPI toolkit. If there's time, I'll show off the new QT development environment. Come join us in our monthly meeting. We are OS/2 and eComStation users, and we meet every month to ideas about our favorite operating system. WiFi is available at the restaurant. -- Neil Waldhauer, neil at blondeguy.com Accept that some days you're the pigeon, and some days you're the statue. Joe demostrated his OS/2 software for RF testing that was written in SmallTalk. Joe is on this list, so thanks for a great demo! I'm hoping that by next month eCS 2.0 will be released, but since I do not know what isn't there, and I have also heard the troubling news that there are new features since rc 7, I'm not betting money that it will happen. Still, I'm hoping to have some more programming demos. I showed the QT designer, although I cannot yet compile examples with it. I didn't show the OpenOffice.org Basic language used for scripting. This is like VBA, in that it's still crummy old Basic, but it has an object-oriented access to every feature in the office suite. Joe spoke highly of Python, so if we get Joe back, I'm certain we'll have some time for a Python demo.
